What are the age requirements for hiring a rental car at Geneva Airport?

Top tips for driving in Geneva
If you are driving in Geneva and Switerland for the first time or have just arrived in Europe, make sure you familiarise yourself with Switzerland’s driving rules before picking up your car. Some key road rules in Swizerland include driving on the right and overtaking on the left. Be aware that cars must use dipped headlights throughout the day. This is applicable all year round. Mobile phones can only be used as a built-in audio device.
Other Swizerland driving laws
- If involved in an accident, and police are not needed, you must complete a European Accident Claim Form. Please return this to your Avis representative.
- It is compulsory for the driver and all passengers to wear a seatbelt
- Children aged under 12 and less than 135cm must be seated in appropriate child restraint for their size
- In towns and rural areas, on minor roads and where there is no clear indication of right of way, it may be prudent to give way to traffic coming from the right.
